Obituary of Jean Griffiths

Jean C. Griffiths, 92, of Atco, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Fountains of Cedar Parke where she resided for the last 12 years. She previously lived in Southampton, NJ; King of Prussia, PA; Valley Forge, PA; Ewing, NJ; Clarks Green, PA; Newburgh, NY; New Brunswick, NJ; Brooklyn, NY and Scranton, PA. Born in Scranton, PA, Jean graduated from Scranton Central High School and Scranton-Lackawanna College. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for several banks, most recently the Ewing Bank and Trust Company. She was a member of the Medford Lakes United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader who enjoyed playing bridge, working on crossword puzzles, baking, sewing and most importantly, taking care of her family. Jean was the beloved wife of John, who passed away in 2003. They had been married for 57 years. Surviving are her two sons, John R. Jr., Toms River, NJ and David J., Ewing, NJ; a granddaughter Ashley from Hoboken, NJ; and a close friend Reina Moffett. Her internment will be held privately at the Dunmore Cemetery in Dunmore, PA.
