Obituary of Robert Gregg Mahorter, Jr.

Robert Gregg Mahorter, Jr. age 79yrs of Marlton, NJ passed away on August 17, 2014. Beloved husband of Joan L. (nee Kiefer). Father of Lynda (Hugh Shelton) Mahorter of Reno, NV, Robert G. Mahorter, III of Ocean City, NJ and Lauren (Glenn) Snellgrove of Huntsville, AL. Grandfather of Kyle Shelton, Tyler Shelton, Siobhan Mahorter, Rosaleen Mahorter, James Snellgrove, Diana Snellgrove and Robert Snellgrove. Brother of Jane Mahorter of Maple Shade, NJ. Bob graduated from Audubon High School in 1953. He graduated from MIT in 1957 with a degree in metallurgy, attended the Oak Ridge School of Reactor Technology, and received his Master's Degree in Materials Engineering from Drexel University. Bob loved his family, fishing, farming, reading and cruising with his friends. He enjoyed the time spent with his friends at the Trout Club and Lions Tamers Club. He was a proud member of the MIT 50 Year Club. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at 10:00am followed by a service officiated by Rev. Dr. Joseph Beggs at 11:00am on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Atco United Presbyterian Church, 2259 Atco Ave., Atco, NJ. Interment was private.
