I met Edith way back in 1976, when she was a member of our new Miniatures club, Another World. I remember her as a kind and talented person who enjoyed making the projects every month. We all missed her when she stopped being a member, and unfortunately, I lost contact with her, and was startled to see her obituary in the newspaper. The original members of the club are pretty much all gone now, but fond memories remain of past good times and good friends.

My favorite memory of Aunt Edith was being in T.I. with my Dad and catching a shark.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Edith remains a blessing, a faithful example of a committed wife, a dedicated mother, a loving grandmother and great grandmother and a wonderful servant of Christ helping out wherever she could. Her knitting has provided hats and mittens for the poor, for veterans, for those forgotten by others. The blankets she made were prayed over and given to so many during difficult times. Those prayer blankets brought warmth, peace, comfort and love to each who received them, reminding them that Jesus as well was holding them in His loving arms.
Today Edith is walking with Jesus, with David and Joyce, with her own parents and is numbered with the saints of heaven who encourage us to keep our eyes on Jesus as well.
Pete, know that Jesus is still with you and will walk you through this dark valley.
