Obituary of Pamela J. (Massi) Nucera
They say that a picture is worth a 1000 words. Strong, gracious, selfless and welcoming, among other wonderful attributes, can be used to capture the essence of Pam, who loved to be home, to cook and entertain her family and friends. Over the last 5 years Pamela J. (Massi) Nucera (nee Walker) fought a constant up-hill battle but pressed on as an inspiration to others and on Thursday, July 5, 2012 the day came in which the sun wouldn't touch her face. Heaven had lit the way for a new angel and she finally left this place. A mother is the truest friend we will ever have. She will be missed.
Pam was born in Maple Shade and had been a resident of Berlin for the past 6 years. Pam worked alongside her husband Tony as the owner & operator of Kean Studio - Cresent Photo Lab for 22 years before retiring in 2003. She then went to work for TD Bank in the Levy Dept. in Mt. Laurel in 2005. Her faith had been an important part of her life and she was a Parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Parish, Assumption Church in Atco. She loved the peaceful solace of music and spent Sundays with Sinatra. Pam's family and grandchildren were her proudest accomplishments. She enjoyed vacationing with them in the Pocono's, skiing, Myrtle Beach and Florida . Pam never missed any of her grandchildren's little league games or concerts. It was always about family.
Pam is survived by her husband Anthony "Tony" Nucera. She is the mother of Lisa & her husband Ed Newman, Joseph Massi, Christopher Nucera and Anthony & his wife Mary Jo Nucera. Pam is the proud grandmother of Michael, Jacob, Lucas, Nicholas and Ryan. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her mother-in-law Millie Nucera, her brother William Walker and her sister Deborah Frick as well as her many nieces, nephews and friends.
There is sacredness in tears, they speak eloquently. They are messengers of overwhelming grief and unspeakable love. Relatives and friends are invited to join Pam's family to hang their tears out to dry as we remember a wife, mother and grandmother, celebrate the unconditional giving of love and pay tribute to Pam on Wednesday afternoon at Christ the Redeemer Parish, Assumption Church 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr., Atco where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm. Fr. Thomas Barcellona, officiating. Inurnment will be held privately. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Multiple Myeloma Research, University of Pennsylvania Hospital 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Philadelphia , PA 19104.
