Obituary of Ernest G. Gilch

Gilch, Ernest George ‘Ernie” 74, of North Cape May, formerly of Gloucester Twp, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2012. Ernie was raised in Runnemede by his parents Ernest and Emily Gilch. He is predeceased by his father Ernest Gilch. Survived by his dear mother Emily Gilch of Medford, The Love of His Life and Best Friend of 17 years, Candace Ivins, his beloved son, C. Allen Gilch of Milmay, devoted sister Betty Kalis (John) of Medford. Pop-Pop to Mark (Naomi), Eric, Gisele and Jeff. Step-Dad to Nicole and William Ivins and Uncle to Barton, Howard and Sierra Rose Kalis. Ernie was a successful businessman, owning and operating 20th and 21st Century Drywall, Inc. for 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and lived life with gusto. He did it all and had to no bucket list. He was a pilot, hunter, boater, biker and motorcycle racer. Over the years Ernie enjoyed snowmobiling, skydiving, scuba diving, traveling and living life “Fast, Quick and In a Hurry!” He was loved by all who knew him and will be remembered as a good and generous person; truly one of a kind. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike in Atco, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 4:00pm. Interment will be held privately.
