Obituary of Franklin R Snuffin

Frank R. Snuffin, Sr. age 83 yrs. passed away peacefully at his home on January 25, 2013, the anniversary of his beloved wife Marie’s passing 8 years ago. He is survived by his children, Frank R. Snuffin, Jr. and his wife Linda of Beachwood, NJ, Janet M. Cuthbert and her husband Daniel of Clementon and Sharon L. McCauley and her husband Patrick, Sr. of Tansboro. Frank is also survived by his Grandchildren, Shannon (John), Jaki (Matt), Jeffrey (Carissa), Laura (Jeoferson), Patrick, Jr. and Heather. And his great grandchildren, Aiden and Sydney. Frank was an US Army Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. Frank was very active in his community. He held the position of Commander of the American Legion Post #311 in Atco along with many other positions during his long membership with the post. Frank began his involvement with the fire service early in life when he joined the Tansboro Vol Fire Co. then joined the Atco Vol. Fire Co. when he moved to Atco. He is a Life Member of the Atco Vol. Fire Co., and also held the position of Sergeant at Arms and Captain of the Fire Police of the Waterford Twp. Fire Dept. He was also a member of the Camden County Fireman’s Association and the New Jersey Fireman’s Relief Association. He will be sorely missed at the Fireman’s Convention in Wildwood, an event that he never missed and especially at the Waterford Twp. Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony, an event that he was proud to participate in. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday evening 7:00 to 9:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Saturday Morning 11:00am at the Atco United Methodist Church, 2128 Atco Ave. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the New Freedom Cemetery, Tansboro, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to either the Waterford Twp. Fire Dept, 2208 Atco Ave., Atco, NJ 08004 or to the Atco American Legion Post #311, 2225 Atco Ave, Atco, NJ, 08004.  Funeral arrangements under the supervision of the LeRoy P.
