Obituary of Thomas J. Eckardt

Thomas J. Eckardt, age 66, of Winslow Township, NJ, passed away suddenly on Sunday June 10, 2018. Beloved husband of Bernadette Eckardt (nee Cruciani). Loving father of Karl Eckardt (Pattie Simpkins), Thomas Eckardt (Michelle), and Caroline Eckardt. Proud grandfather of Elle Rose Eckardt. Son of Theresa (Al) Koch and the late Harry J. Eckardt II. Dear brother of Theresa Costello (Jim), Harry J. Eckardt III (Kathleen), and Michael Eckardt (Paula). He is also survived and will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and more friends and neighbors than one can ever imagine who are all like family. Thomas was born in Philadelphia, PA, and had resided in Winslow Twp. since 1983. He was the Owner and President of T. J. Eckardt Associates, Inc. for 38 years. He was also a longtime member of the Winslow Twp. Lions Club. Thomas enjoyed drag racing, fishing and golfing, as well as spending time with his beloved family. Viewing will be held on Thursday June 14, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and again on Friday June 15, 2018 from 9:45 to 10:45 am at Christ the Redeemer Parish, Assumption Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr., Atco, NJ. A funeral liturgy will begin on Friday at 11:00 am at the church. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas's name to Winslow Twp.
