The LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home was established in 1952 by LeRoy Purley Wooster. The building was originally a large home at the corner of White Horse Pike & Cooper Folly Road that was converted into a funeral home and the family residence. In 1962 an extensive addition was added giving the funeral home one of the largest viewing rooms in the area. In 1972, Mr. Wooster added a crematory and the business became the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory as we know it today. This unique addition made our business one of only two funeral home operated crematories in the state of New Jersey.
In 1976, founder and owner LeRoy P. Wooster passed away unexpectedly. With the help of professionally licensed staff, his wife Alice Wooster maintained the business until her son LeRoy P. Wooster received his funeral director's license in 1986, introducing the second generation of the family into the business. Today, over 60 years later, the funeral home continues to be owned and operated by LeRoy P. Wooster who continues his father's legacy with the help of a dedicated, caring, and professional staff.
