Obituary of Annamma Samuel

Annamma SamuelAnnamma Samuel (Leelamma) was born on April 11th, 1951 in Kadampanad, Kerala, India to her parents Late Mr. Mathew Mathen and Late Mrs. Kunjamma Mathew. She was married on November 13th, 1969 to Prof. C. O. Samuel (Sam Panamkunnel). They were blessed with 4 daughters: Sheeba, Shoba, Deepa and Prabha. She was an active member of St.George Orthodox Church, South Monkuzhy, Pullikanakku P.O., Kayamkulam where she served as the Sunday School Head Mistress. She was a God-fearing, generous, loving and caring mother and wife. She was a family member of Parampil Puthenveedu Kadampanad PTA Dist, Kerala. In March, 2008 she came with her husband to visit her daughters in the United States and their families residing in New Jersey and Philadelphia. On October 27th, 2008 she was admitted to Hahnemann University hospital in Philadelphia to get treatment for liver cirrhosis. On February, 2009 she was transferred to the University of Pittsburgh Medical center for a liver transplant. She left to be with her Lord on Sunday March 8, 2009. She is survived by her husband, 4 daughters and their families, and 6 grandchildren.
