Michele and I were best friends during 6,7,&8th grade! Maria Capone, Michele and I were almost connected at the hip half of the time. I remember when the family 1st moved to Franklinville, Maria and I came down for a sleep-over and I thought you had moved sooooo far away! I have thought about Michele many times over the years and wondered how her life turned out. Believe it or not, I am relocating from Alexandria, VA to South Jersey this summer to get married and planned on trying to connect with some old friends and Michele was one of them. I am so sorry for your family's loss. My brother, Bill passed away 3 years ago this October and I know how the loss becomes an overwhelming, consuming void. I only hope knowing some of my greatest childhood memories include Michele and her love of horses and dogs and all animals. My favorite memory of Michele was when she had Bell's Palsy and had to wear the eye patch. She was embarrassed about coming to school. I remember trying to make her feel better about it and it took me and other friends making fun of her crooked laugh for her to believe we still loved her and were friends no matter what! I know that made her feel better about it and imagining her sitting behind me in class, talking, laughing and getting into trouble still makes me laugh a little. I am sorry I missed my chance to see her again in this life. I know I will see my brother again and I expect to see Michele again too.
