Joseph A. Damiri, Sr. Of W. Berlin, NJ, age 70 yrs. on April 28, 2006 passed into the hands of our heavenly Father, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend for 46 years of Patricia (nee Oeffler). Loving father of Patti Damiri and her husband George Weaver of West Chester, PA, Joseph, Jr. and his wife Mary of Barrington, NJ and Peter and his wife Kathleen of Tabernacle, NJ. Dearest brother of Mary Ann Shaw of Taberncle, NJ. Cherished grandfather of John, Alexa, Nicholas, Samantha, Luke and William. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Joseph spent his adult life raising his family in W. Berlin, NJ. He was a skilled photogravure printer and was dedicated to his profession. He proudly served in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Murray and was a longtime member of the Everready Sportsman Club in Tuckerton, NJ. Joseph will be fondly remembered for his love of nature, hunting and Penn State football. He was especially passionate about the time spent with his wife and family at his little cabin in Slate Run, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday evening from 7pm to 9pm and again Tuesday morning from 9am to 9:45am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco (856)767-0539. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Berlin. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Joseph may be sent to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009 or The Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial, 62 Battleship Place, Camden, NJ 08103.
