Obituary of Joseph P. Mangione

On May 2, 2006 of Atco, NJ (formerly of Maple Shade) age 79yrs. Beloved husband of the late Constance K. (nee York), with whom he was married for 52yrs. Devoted father of Kathy Preto and her husband Tom of Atco, Janelle Scheff and her husband Larry of Mt. Laurel, Lisa Green and her husband Bill of Moorestown, Melissa Mangione of Browns Mills, and Charles Mangione and his wife Michelle of Atco. Dear brother of Salvatore Mangione of Bellmawr, Ralph Mangione and his wife Carole of Maple Shade and the late Theresa Neill. Cherished grandfather of Louis, Brenda, Matt, Justin, Errik, Billy, Matt, Ken, Ryan, Joey, Kami and Cody. Proud great grandfather of Dylan. Joe was the owner of Mangione Ornamental Iron in Maple Shade for 50yrs. He also worked as an electronic engineer for the US Army at Ft. Monmouth, NJ and retired 25 years ago. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the US Navy, proudly serving his country. Joe will be remembered for his loves of horse racing, traveling, boating and fishing. He also loved spending time with friends and especially family. He was a great father and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm and again Friday morning from 9am to 9:45am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco (856)767-0539. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at Assumption RC Church, Atco. Interment, Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken.
