Obituary of John R. “Jack� Berry

John R. Jack Berry On August 19, 2004 of Collings Lakes, NJ age 61 yrs. Jack was born and raised in Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman in Korea and Japan from 1964-69. He worked in the maintenance department at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for 18 years. An avid gardener, cook, boater and Civil War history buff, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Yoko (nee Hasunuma), daughters Judy Ann Conant, Ethel and her husband Jerry Pastore, and Cecilia Berry, and sons Joseph and his wife Elisha, and Vincent Berry. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Interment will be private. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 28th at 12noon at the First Baptist Church, 110 S. Delsea Dr., Clayton, NJ. Donations can be made to the South Jersey Community Church, P.O. Box 1305, Williamstown, NJ 08094.
