Obituary of Clarice McIntosh

God gently closed the tired eyes and whispered, Come on home, to Clarice Grace McIntosh on October 23, 2004 at approximately 10:35pm. Clarice was the oldest child of Beatrice and Willie Taylor. She was born in Sumter County, South Carolina on September 30, 1917. Clarice attended the Public Schools in Lee County, South Carolina. She later moved Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and married Lucious Towsend McIntosh. They later moved to Atco, New Jersey in 1950. Mom McIntosh worked in the early 1950s until the late 1960s for Mr. and Mrs. Wooster. Later she worked for Owen-Illinois Fiberglass Company in Vineland, New Jersey, where she retired in 1977. Mom McIntosh joined Calvary Baptist Church in West Atco in the early 1950s where she joined as a Pastors Aide. She later moved her membership to St. Johns UME Church in 1976, where for a time she was a member of the Senior Choir. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club. Mom attended until her health prevented her. She leaves precious memories with eight daughters and one son. Marion Martin of Flint, MI, Audrey Wilcoxson of Chesilhurst, NJ, Jerome McIntosh of West Berlin, NJ, Masrene Farrell of Tansboro, NJ, Lucille McIntosh of Sicklerville, NJ, Beatrice Cain of Berlin, NJ, Gwendolyn McIntosh of Sicklerville, NJ, Julia Woods of West Berlin, NJ and Clarice Carter of Clementon, NJ. Also, four sons-in-law, Albert Martin, Moses Farrell, Odaree Cain and Elisha Woods. One daughter-in-law Rose Etta McIntosh. One sister-in-law, Leola Singletery and one brother-in-law, Lawrence McIntosh of Philadelphia, PA. Along with 25 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday from 9:00am-11:00am at St. Johns United Methodist Church, 410 Fairview Ave, W. Berlin. Services will begin at 11:00am. Interment, East Berlin Cemetery, Berlin.
