Obituary of Mae Willie Stephens

Mrs. Mae Willie Johnson Stephens, 95, of 58 Blue Anchor Rd., Sicklerville, NJ. Mae died at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, NJ Wednesday afternoon, June 15, 2005. Mae Stephens was born March 10, 1910 in Rutherford, NC. The daughter of the late Joshaway Ford and Hattie Jeffers Ford. Mae lived in Spartanburg, SC and worked and retired from Beaumont Mills after 29 years. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She later moved to Winston-Salem, NC where she lived for 22 years and attended New Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Mae later moved to Sicklerville, NJ in 2002. Mrs. Stephens was the widow of Roy Johnson and Menford Stephens. Mae was preceded in death by her daughter Essie May Johnson, her son R.E. Johnson and grandsons Roy Lee Johnson and Choice Johnson, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory of life, her son Choice L. Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC, Granddaughters; Deborah Prater of Sicklerville, NJ, Brenda Woods of Wyandanch, NY, Valerie Gladden of Spartanburg, SC, Grandsons; Alvin Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC, Herbert Butler, Nathan Butler and Eric Butler of Norfolk, VA and Michael Gladden of Spartanburg, SC as well as a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and other nieces, nephews and others.
