Family and friendship is everything. Although my mom and dad may have ended their marriage, they never ended their friendship. In all we did as family, my dad was there. My step-dad always welcomed him into his home. This is a true tribute to my family. Kind, good and generous people who love and support each other in all we do. My dad was always a part of this and a part of our lives. He taught us to crab, ride bikes, hike, sleigh ride and drive. Driving was the best. He let us drive his car before we got our permits...always in those big empty lots. When Deb and I took driver's ed. in school and the other kids would be "so very bad at it" the teacher would scream, "SCHANEL, you drive!!" We were good! Thanks, Dad! My dad rarely complained and accepted what life brought him with a loving heart. He had a very laid back and kind nature, with a beautiful smile and a sparkle in his eyes. I know my Billy said, "Come on Grandpa, this way" as they walked hand in hand into heaven. We love him and miss him already. But, we have many wonderful memories that will carry us through to the day they both say, "Come on, this way" with their beautiful eyes and impish smiles. Love is forever.
