Obituary of Walter A. Avis

Walter A. Avis After a long courageous battle with cancer, on June 28, 2006 of Atco, NJ age 73yrs. Son of the late Helen and David Avis. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Vennell) Loving father of Meredith Avis of Reading, PA and Dawn Alexander and her husband Brad of Mt. Laurel, NJ. Grandfather of Lauren, Billy and James. Brother of Joan Bliedorn and Rita Thomas. Son-in-law of Ann Vennell. Mr. Avis is also survived by many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Mr. Avis was a 43 year employee of the Langston Co, Cherry Hill, NJ, He was also a member of the Atco Senior Citizens Club, the Henry S. Haines Masonic Lodge in Audubon, NJ and he was a Veteran of The Korean War serving with the US Army. A memorial service will be held on Saturday 11:00am at the Atco United Presbyterian Church, 2259 Atco Ave. Atco, NJ. Interment will be private.
