Obituary of William A. Marshall, Sr.

William A. Marshall, Sr. Born March 6, 1918 and passed October 7, 2006 in his daughters home with loved ones by his side. Let it be known that he is the loving father of 6 children, William A. Marshall, Jr., Mary Ann McPoyle, Shirley Yoder, Thomas Marshall, Robert Marshall and Linda Smailer. His children and their loving spouses all live locally. He is also the proud Pop Pop to his 15 precious grandchildren and his 14 Million Dollar great-grandchildren. He is survived by his 3 sisters, Grace Ross, Betty Burns and Olive Smith. He honorably served this country in the US Coast Guard during WWII. He was a member of the Master Masons, Collingswood Cloud Lodge #101. He belonged to the Carpenters Union, Local #393, Gloucester City, NJ and was a Honorary Life Member of the L.O.O.M Lodge #3001, Orange Park, FL. He had a passion for fishing and hunting just to name a few of his many memories. He has painfully missed his wife, Virginia (Nee Phillips) Marshall, who passed in 2003. Please take a moment to share in the joy of their reunion as his family does. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday from 4:00pm to 5:15pm at the Shawnee Baptist Church, 303 Oakshade Rd., Shamong, NJ, 08088. Funeral services will begin at 5:30pm. Interment will be private following services. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shawnee Baptist Church at the address above or to the American Lung Association of NJ, 1600 Rt. 22 East, Union, NJ 07083 would be appreciated.
