Obituary of David A. “Al� Priestley

David Albert Priestley On November 23, 2006 of Atco, NJ, age 85yrs. Beloved husband of the late Nancy R. (nee Kircher). Devoted father of David A. Priestley, Jr. and his wife Wanda of Elm, Jane Babli & her husband Michael of Atco, Linda Merkh & her husband Fritz of Atco and Douglas Priestley & his wife Mary of Atco. Loving step-father of Alisa Simone-Chase of Sicklerville and Nancy Sceia & her husband Tony of Hammonton. Dear brother of Herman Priestley of Hammonton. Proud grandfather of 15, great grandfather of 10. He is also survived by Lillian Priestley (nee DeLiso), his former wife and mother of his children. Al proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. After the service he owned and operated Als Auto Service in Elm. He then went on to become the first full-time patrolman in Winslow Twp., where he retired as a deputy chief. Al was also a charter member of American Legion Post 398 in Elm, as well as the Winslow Twp. Lions Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday evening from 7pm to 9pm and again Monday morning from 9am to 10:30am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco (856)767-0539. Funeral services will begin at 10:30am. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions in memory of Al to be sent to Elm Methodist Church, 522 Wharton Ave., Elm, NJ 08037 or to the Winslow Twp. Lions Club, PO Box 168, Cedar Brook, NJ 08018.
