Wed. Valentines Day
Loretta, sometimes the pain in my heart from the loss of you is unbearable. 48 years was not long enough. I remember in 74' when our son had a motorcycle accident, you told me that God gave us a long road to walk up and we did it together. In 78' we lost our daughter Jenny. You said we have a bigger hill to walk up and it took years. This time God gave me a mountain that I may never climb. But I'll try.
Loretta, I love you and will love you till the day I die. Bert.

Aunt Loretta always had a smile that would light up the room. I will think of her when I look at the Blue Willow she gave me. She had collected it for years.Just like my Mom. I remember every time when we were kids and we would go over her house she was always outside working in the yard. Her yard always looked beautiful. I will miss her very much.

We were all out to dinner one night. Our son wasn't even a year old yet so he really wasn't good at sittin in one place for a long period of time. Everytime he got fussy and ran around the table, he'd go to Aunt Loretta and Uncle Bert playing shy at first as he does for all people he doesn't see everyday. By the time the desert came, I was worn out, ready to scream and still trying to eat my cold dinner. Aunt Loretta pulled him up on her lap and the two of them, Uncle Bert and Aunt Loretta, introduced my son to ice cream. Ice cream became one of his first words becasue of that night!
The first time I met Aunt Loretta she immediatly made me feel like part of the family. Her smile was the warmest I've ever seen and would brighten any room. And she always greeted you with a smile. I'd never seen her upset or mad...she just didn't have it in her. Even though I didn't get to spend as much time with her as I'd like, I learned a lot that I will carry with me the rest of my life.
I'll think of Aunt Loretta everytime I see my son eat ice cream, everytime I start to loose hope and every Christmas I will burn my lights bright because she wouldn't have it any other way. Her spirit and memory will live on in the ones who loved her and generations to come as we teach them things that she taught us. I will miss her very much but she will never be forgotten.

Will miss always her. She was the nicest person who's smile could make anyone happy. I regret that I did not make more time for her in our lives but cherish the moments spent together. I am thankful that she was apart of my life and my sons life. If she is to be in Heaven I believe Uncle Sonny was driving Grandma nuts and Grandma needed a new friendly face to share eternity with. Love ya Aunt Loretta, Keep Grandma company and thank you for the love. By the way... Aiden Loves his two trucks you got him...he sleeps with one everynight! I just wish you could have seen him open them.
