My fondest memory was knocking on the door to ask if Bob could come out and play. Mrs. Telling came to the door and I asked
"Bobbys Mom can Bobby come out and play". Looking down at me with her great smile and not correcting my english she got my buddy for me. In 1996 we had a very bad snowstorm and my dad from shoveling was hospitalized. my business was great so I went and bought a large snow blower and a pickup truck with a large cap and ramps for the blower. Every time we had snow thereafter I`d do mom and dads property along with all those from my youth, Mrs. Jerecki, Mr. and Mrs. Magee, Mr. and Mrs Telling, etc. Mrs. Telling would always come to the door and wave hi and smile. After two years had passed by I remember her asking me who I was. I recall laughing to myself and saying it`s Billy Staines Mrs. Telling and I`m the guy you`ve been waving to for the past couple years.
There came a time after contracting cancer, I had to stop doing the snow blowing therefore losing touch with with that great generation and your mom`s great smile.
With a heavy heart I offer my deepest sympathies to my dearest childhood friends Flo, Bob and Kent.
