Obituary of Ethel S. Ludvigsen

ETHEL S. LUDVIGSEN On April 6, 2007 age 92 of Atco, NJ. formerly of Almonesson in Deptford, NJ. Survived by her loving son Robert of Sicklerville, NJ and grandchildren Krista and Eric Ludvigsen. Devoted wife of the late Kai Karl Ludvigsen and loving Mother of the late Doris Ludvigsen. Ethel was best remembered for taking care of any hurt or stray animals. Neighbors would drop off baby birds, rabbits and squirrels for Ethel to attend to. She sometimes would take in litters of abandoned baby squirrels, some just days old. She would hand feed them with eye droppers and raise them to adults and then release them. Ethels fondest memory is seeing a mother squirrel come across a neighbors field working its way toward her. It had a baby in its mouth. Recognizing Ethel as the one who raised it, the mother squirrel gently dropped the baby at Ethels foot and slowly walked away. And Ethel raised this baby to an adult and released it as well. Cremation was private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd.
