Obituary of George Kenneth Davidson

George K. Davidson, Sr. On July 29, 2007 of Deptford, NJ, age 79yrs. Beloved husband of Florence (nee Kammler) for 56yrs. Loving father of Denise Harris and her husband Ed of Blackwood, NJ, Deborah Kirsch and her husband Frank of Newport Center, VT, George K. Davidson, Jr. of Deptford, NJ, Donna Duckworth and her husband Steven of Sicklerville, NJ, Dana Haines and her husband David of Williamstown, NJ, Kenneth Davidson and his wife Denise of Blackwood, NJ, and Darnella Davidson of Deptford, NJ. Proud grandfather of 16 and great grandfather of 20, with one more on the way. George honorably served his country in the US Army and the US Coast Guard. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 1414 out of Philadelphia, PA. He spent his career as a mailer for the newspaper industry. George worked for The Evening Bulletin for 28yrs, and was number one on the seniority list at the time of their closing. After briefly working for the Philadelphia Inquirer, he retired from the Courier Post in 1993. When he wasnt working, George enjoyed being a family man, spending time with his wife and 7 children. He also loved Nascar, woodworking and painting, among other things. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, August 2, 2007 from 2pm to 4pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco (856)767-0539. Services will begin at 4pm. Interment will be private.
