Obituary of Ruth L. VanIstendal

Ruth Louise VanIstendal (nee Budnick) Age 98 of Marlton, NJ passed away in her home at Cadbury, Cherry Hill, NJ, Monday, August 6, 2007. Born in Camden, NJ, loving wife of prominent Camden County attorney, Matthew F. Van Istendal, Jr., who predeceased her, resided in Collingswood, NJ and Van Dal Lake, Marlton, NJ. Mrs. Van Istendal in survived by her son, George Van Istendal, of Marlton, NJ, grandchildren, Lisa, George, Jr., and Glen, and great grandchildren, Jennifer, Liam, George Matthew, III, Matthew Charles and Aidan. Mrs. Van Istendal, always involved in civic life, was past president of the Haddon Fortnightly and advisor to the Juniors, Board Member Emeritus of the West Jersey Health System, former Camden County Girl Scout Leader, and with her husband Matthew, founded Little Mill Country Club in 1966. Mrs. Van Istendal was a world traveler and thoroughly enjoyed a full life! A Memorial Service will be held on the date of her birthday, August 23, 10:00am at Cathedral in the Woods, Medford Lakes, NJ.
