To the Bates' family, Please accept my deapest sympathy for your recent loss. Also, to Dr. Bates' wife Lauralou and son Barry, who I remember fondly during the early years of my graphics career having worked for Mr. John Denney in PCPM's Graphic's Department for 8 wonderful years from 1974 through 1982. These years and the people I worked with will forever remain in my heart as having a profound influence on my career as well as my life. Barry, I will forever remember and be greatful for those years working with your father on many projects and publications during the early years of PCPM and consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to have worked with your father.
