I didn't fill this out before, since I didn't know Cathy. After Tuesday's services, I felt I know quite a bit more. She was a special lady, as reflected by that folks said about her. I thought the grandkids were great with the readings, and Gerry's speech at the end of the funeral Mass was Gerry at his best. I doubt there was a dry eye after the story of Duffy's telephone call.
I was honored to sit at the table afterwards with the family at the restaurant. Maria's brother is a trip on its own to listen to and observe.
I am sorry for your loss, but you were lucky in that everyone had a chance to see her or talk with her in the past two years. There will be mixed feelings for the Holidays, but keep in mind the happier times and memories.
The family should take comfort in that it was a wonderful farewell sendoff.
