I wish there were enough words to say how sorry we all feel. Helen has been a part of our entire family for many, many years and she will never be forgotten. I still remember the first day she came to watch Lauren 23 years ago and she has been a special friend ever since. We will also miss her mashed potatoes and iced tea. Again, we are all truly sorry.

Helen lived next door to my husband and I. I would sometimes sit and talk about the goings on in the world. She really knew the scene. I asked her once why she didn't get back to her own life after becoming a widow. She said, she just wanted to be with her family. Helen is a rare girl. I can't say many of us are as selfless as she. Often we are too busy with our own lives to give the time and effort she put into her role as Matriarch. A role she took seriously. She cared deeply for her Lauren.

Dear Kathy and Gerry,
I'm so sorry to read about Helen. I will always remember how Helen was caring for others. From Lauren and Tim to the lady who was younger than she was that she told me about. I hope I can keep busy and help others on into my senior years as she did. She loved you all so. Whenever we spoke, she bragged on all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. I'm sure she's helping to care for Sue up in heaven. May your memories comfort you.
God's blessing to you,
Annmarie Kerbaugh
