Obituary of Richard D. Meyerhoff

Richard D. Meyerhoff On February 13, 2008 of Sicklerville, NJ age 82yr. Beloved husband of 60 years to Josephine M. (nee Tuttle). Loving father of Judy Kennedy and her husband Jim of Sicklerville, Mike Meyerhoff and his wife Cathy of Waterford and Kathy Teti and her husband John of Waterford. Grandfather of 6, Great Grandfather of 9. Born January 5, 1926 in Brookings, SD, Mr. Meyerhoff moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1932. After graduating from St. Joseph High School he served in the US Navy from June 1944-1946. Mr. Meyerhoff was a lifetime member American Legion & VFW where he served as Post Commander. He is the current Chaplain of the Ronald Wright Memorial VFW Post #303. He was an avid golfer, bowler, card player and gardener. He and his wife owned Dicks Cigar Store in Sheldon, Iowa. As a Construction Foreman he built super highways, missile sites and dams. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday 10:30 to 12:00 noon at the St. Anthony RC Church, Pennington Ave., Waterford. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 12:00 noon. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ronald Wright Memorial VFW Post #303, 506 Sickler Ave., Sicklerville, NJ 08081 would be appreciated.
