What do you say when someone who:
took you in when you had no home,
helped you get work when you had none,
lent you money to start a new life,
held you when you cried,
picked you up when you were down, and
loved you unconditionally dies? Thank you Uncle John for everything. I love you.

Heather (Fanz) Anderson posted a condolence
I am John's Oldest daughter Heather. He is predeceased by his daughter Megin S Fanz and survived by his youngest daughter Katherine Fanz (age 13). He is also survived by his estranged wife Lois R Fanz of Glassboro NJ.
He grew up in Thorofare NJ and went to West Deptford High School. Married Vickylynn Stafferie (Fanz-Armstrong) at age 19. They divorced 10-12 years later. Since that time he had not been a Father to any of his daughters nor did he provide for their lives in any way.
His choices in life were wrong and sad as he said to my mother, Vicky 1 month before he died. Even still no one should leave this earth with only a mention of their name and death date.
I am leaving this today so that there is some sort of legacy for a man that didnt leave much of one for himself.

John was a pleasure to have as a friend. He was supportive, positive, and always loved to laugh. He probably knew more about me than most people from our opening together for so long. Don't get me wrong, we had our bumps, but always knew we would be laughing again in no time. He will be missed.
