Obituary of Martin J. Barnabic

Martin J. Barnabic Age 87, of Medford, died June 4th, 2008 at his home. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Martenson). Loving father of John Barnabic, George Barnabic and his wife Peggy of Indian Mills, and Carol (Barnabic) Smith and her husband Bob of Medford Lakes. Proud grandfather "Pop-Pop" of Jessica Lucas and her husband Andy of Princeton NJ, Suzanne West and her husband Jeff of Medford Lakes NJ, Holly Barnabic and her fiance Zac Wilson of Bellmawr NJ, Christine Barnabic of Baltimore MD and Martin (Robbie) Smith of Medford Lakes. Great Grandfather of Darren and Graham West and Charlotte and Georgia Lucas. Born in Croatia, Marty came to America at age 7. He proudly served as a radio operator in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII, and was a Mason in the Westchester NY Lodge 702 for over 60 years. He retired from RCA in Cherry Hill after 37 years of service, starting as a technician after the war working his way up to become Vice President of Consumer Affairs and Industry Relations. After retirement he remained active, volunteering for SCORE of the Small Business Administration, he was a Mediator serving the Burlington County Court system and was an always present fan for all his grandchildren's activities. He was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, always there to lend his support and guidance. He will be greatly missed. A memorial celebration of his life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 in his memory.
