Edward A. Malsberger
On June 19, 2008, of Laurel Springs, NJ age 91yrs. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne. Loving father of Cindy Kennerup and her husband Walt of Laurel Springs, Hillary Dayton of Camp LeJeune, NC and the late Phyllis. Brother of Hildred Rupertus of Laurel Springs, Ann Marshall of Ocean City, NJ, Joseph Malsberger of Mt. Laurel and the late Leonard Malsberger. Grandfather of 8 grandchildren, Great Grandfather of 11 Great Grand Children and Great Great Grandfather of one Great Great Grandchild.
Mr. Malsberger was a Past Master of the Mizpah-Haddon Hts. Masonic Lodge #191. He was a member of the Collingswood High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He also was a Past Commissioner of the South Jersey Fast Pitch Softball Association and a two time inductee to the South Jersey Fast Pitch Hall Of Fame.
He served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He later went on to work for RCA as an engineering draftsman. His claim to fame was being part of the team that developed the first color camera.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday. June 28th 12:00 noon at the Laurel Springs Baptist Church located at the corner of Madison and Arch Sts. in Laurel Springs, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Collingswood High School Athletic Hall of Fame, PO Box 512, Collingswood, NJ 08108 would be greatly appreciated.
