Hey Ray Ray! i still cant even believe that your gone. since the kids have danced at the studio ive seen you every day. I miss the way you used to cheer me up when i was sad and always believe in me and how much i would succeed in my life. Dance was is my life, and the kids life along with yours since you were always there! It was the small things, like pulling up to the studio and seeing you standing up against the wall out front, and all the funny jokes and riddles you would tell me. You always found a way to make me smile, and i wish you were back here so much, but i know that your in a better place now. life has changed so much, and everything is sort of different now, and u find myself crying all the time even though i would want me to stay strong and have the kids stay strong. I love those kids like they were my little sister and brother and i know you will watch over them and protect them in whatever they do. I always loved you like a dad and i miss you and love you so much!! sleep easy ray ray, i love you. continue to watch over me and eveyone else, especislly in time of need. <3333333
love you like a father always and forever,
kristina schanz.

Mr. Philipp, i've seen you every week for the past seven years. You always knew how to cheer me up, no matter what you did; whether it be your jokes or you just talking to me. I'm gonna miss seeing you leaning against the brick column in your red sweatshirt outside of dance and you screaming, "HEY DUDETTE!" as I walked up to you, and gave you a knuckle punch. It was our weekly tradition. I love and miss you.

The last time I saw Ray was over the summer. He was treating himself to ice cream from Coney Island. I was surprised that he was alone, as he was always with Jessica and Ray, Jr. It was nice to see him treat himself, as he was so selfless with his family. He will be missed.

Fond memories of the Philipp brothers Kurt, Ray, and Rob as we grew to become adults. Ray was always ready to engage in humor. In my mind's eye I see Kurt and Ray waiting for the Terrys to arrive for the holiday, sitting on an outside wall on the street corner. As soon as they saw our car they'd jump up and run to beat us to their home. Ray was alot like his father in many ways. May be be in peace.

I only knew you for a very short time, but in that short time you graced us with your presence often and we felt like you were family. You made us laugh with your jokes. It was a blessing to welcome you, your wife and your sweet Jessica and Raymond into our studio and our lives. God keep you close and watch over your family.

Joanne, Raymond, Jr. and Jessica: Our lives are forever enriched by Ray's friendship and loyalty. We were devastated to recently learn of his passing but we were all blessed by his presence in lives, although far too short. We grieve our loss, but we grieve your loss more. Ray was a devoted friend and we know from his own words, his wife and children meant everything to him. We hold you in our hearts and prayers, as Ray would want us to, and send our deepest sympathies and much love always,
Chuck and Hannah Welsh
