There were several times this semester that I emailed Dr. Ep and told him that I was going to throw my computer out of the window, and he calmed me down and fixed the problem everytime. He did more than just advise us or teach us, he got to know us as people. He knew how overwhelming our semester could be, and did his best to be there for us. He went above and beyond his job because you could tell that he really loved his job. He was a happy man who radiated his friendship. Very sorry to hear of his passing, I send my love and prayers to his family.

Words cannot describe the impact that Dr. Ep has had on many of the school psychology students here at Rowan. As a teacher, he had confidence in me when I didn't have it myself. Dr. Epifanio, aka Dr. Ep, was one of the greatest professors I've ever had. He genuinely cared about his students, not just with their education, but with their personal lives also. He always took the time to listen (even if he didn't have it) and help with anything he could. It is hard to believe he is actually gone because he was such an important aspect to my education at Rowan; it all happened so fast. I wish I could have gotten a chance to give him a huge hug and thank him for everything he has done, not only for me, but for every other student whose lives he touched. He was a brilliant man and I am so lucky to have gotten the opportunity to have him impact my life. I always looked forward to Dr. Ep's classes because he was consistently happy and always made me laugh; it was such a blessing to a stressful, busy life to be graced by his presence. I am deeply saddened by this tragedy, although I know God has a special place for him. I pray for his family and friends who are even more impacted than I am because I know how hard this is for me. I can only be so happy that I was able to have him in my life, which was such a blessing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

Frank was a dear friend and valued colleague in the School Psychology program at Rowan University. He touched the lives of many of our graduate students who loved him for his compassion and dedication to his field and to them. I met Dr. Epifanio when he was the supervisor of the Child Study Team at Monroe Township and I was one of the school psychology intern from Rowan University.
I was immediately struck by his friendliness, ability to put people at ease and great amount of knowledge. I also connected with Dr. Epifanio on the basis of our italian heritage of which he was proud . During my internship, I felt part of the Monroe team truly welcomed and accepted . I really feel that Dr. Epifanio as well as that wonderful team in the mid 90's facilitated that process.
Dr. Epifanio was not only a cultured man but also had a great sense of humor and performing ability.
I remember going with the Monroe township staff to a Karakoe night and Dr. Epifanio performing flawlessly "Mac the knife".
Dr. Epifanio was my introduction to the working field of school psychology. He was a mentor. He radiated life and humanity.
I will never forget him.

My name is Rich and I work in the building where Frank rented an office in Berlin. I was shocked and deeply saddened when I learned of his passing and would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to his family. We had different schedules so I would not see him too often but always enjoyed talking with him for a few minutes when our paths crossed. I most recently saw him I think at Walmart and he was smiling and as pleasant as always as we chatted. Being in my forties I always assumed he was around my age and didn't realize he was already a grandfather but I was pleased to learn that. While it seems wrong that he left the world so young please take comfort in the knowledge that he did what he needed to do. He was a good person who worked hard and helped others in need and accomplished much in his 56 years, perhaps most of which raising a family who are now raising their own family. Again, I am sorry for your loss but as the saddness and mourning fades you'll be left with love and memmories and comfort that he is in good hands with God.
Take care, Rich Tyrrell

I think of all the times I have seen him interact with students and the kindness and genuine concern he showed toward everyone he met and I want you to know that he is one of the angels that GOD sent to us in human form. Coming home from work and seeing Lincoln cuddling with you on the sofa will never be forgotten. You were his best friend. As far as being a father, you were the best. Dad you were the most dedicated person and for that I am always grateful. You have taught me things that a classroom cannot teach. I will always remember our love for '"The Boss." In all of the projects you have taken on over the years, you were dedicated and passionate about every single one. There is not one day that will go by that I won't think of you. I can only hope that I continue to make you proud in all that I try to achieve. I will do my best to make the kitchen just the way you wanted it. You were so proud of the new cabinets. Dear Nicole, Lisa and Frank...Sally and I are grateful we had such a nice visit with your Dad at lunch in August at Catherine's funeral. He mentioned he wasn't feeling well but we had no idea how unwell. Please know that we will express our sorrow in prayer for all of you.
Love, Dom and Sally

Frank was one of the most positive and upbeat persons I've ever known. I miss his cheerful presence at work.
