Gorman, Elsie A. "Ellie" nee Metzger, 85, January 5, 2014 formerly of Philadelphia and Brogue, PA. Devoted wife of Tom (Deceased). Loving Mother to Carole (Bill) Swift of Ocean City , NJ. Tim (Janet) Gorman of Gainesville, FL. and Terry (Teri) of Maui, HI. "Granny" to: Kara (Justin) Hyde of Phila., PA. Matty, Elly and Krissa Gorman of Gainesville, FL. and Michael and Jackie Gorman of Maui, HI. Also survived by; brother John Metzger of Branford, FL. sister-in-law, Sr. Mary Gorman of Phila., PA. and 28 nieces and nephews. Ellie was the original "enabler" giving selflessly to anyone and occasionally anything she touched, unquestioning, yet insisting nothing in return. Foremost, a humble attentive listener, speaking little, yet saying much. Again never seeking attention, yet sought by many who knew her. A dog groomer, her true passion was her love of animals...everything except snakes, which, "if they could walk, would be ok too!" She was a keeper... and so much more. Funeral services will be private. The family requests in lieu of flowers, read instead a book of your choice.
