Obituary of Lillian E. Kline
Lillian Elizabeth Kline (67) of Cherry Hill passed on April 25. She was born on November 15, 1946 in Philadelphia. Lillian recently lived in Pine Hill NJ. Her Father Richard Charles Kline was a veteran of WWII. She is survived by her adopted daughter Michelle Ann Meena Lord. Lillian was born with cerebral palsy, a handicap that progressed slowly over her lifetime, but she was able to earn her BS degree in Engineering and worked for Westinghouse. Because of her disability she was dependent on assistance dogs for daily living, and she developed the Freedom Bonds Dog Training company to train assistance dogs for other people. She also trained dogs in basic obedience. Lillian believed that the dogs who were used in the rescue efforts after the 9/11 attacks subsequently died from inhaling toxic dust were never appropriately honored, so she sponsored an annual event to honor police, search & rescue and assistance dogs in the area. The last event was held in 2010 at the Veterans Park in Gloucester Township this included a parade of dogs and an award ceremony. Services for Mrs. Kline will be held at a later date. Lillian requested that donations in her memory be given to the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, Attn: Bill Pfeiffer, 5001 Lenora Way Dr., Raleigh, NC 27613.
