Obituary of James L. Burnett

James L. Burnett, 91, of Atco, formerly of Royal Oak, MI, peacefully passed away on October 24, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Cavan); Devoted father of James (Pat) Burnett and Lynn (Terry) Fortino; Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Joseph, Andrea, Karen and great grandfather of Julia, Antonella and Joseph; Dear brother of the late Margaret "Peggy" Taylor. Mr. Burnett was a US Marine Veteran serving during the Korean War and recipient of two Bronze Stars. An avid golfer, James and his wife retired to Southern Point, NC to golf. He was also a lifelong member of the Red Run Golf Club in Michigan. Services for Mr. Burnett were held privately in Michigan at the request of the family.
