Unfortunately Jerry, we never got a chance to meet, that is sad, because I never got a chance to meet the special guy everyone has talked about. A loving husband and father, a great friend, brother, son, and son-in-law. You surely will be missed.

Jerry, You always called me "The Wolf" or Sgt. We always had awesome times together whether we were at work, fishing, hanging out, or at Rattlesnake Ridge hunting. Thank you for all the great memories we shared. You will be surely missed by all. My heart breaks for your family. I have sent some pictures to Matthew of our times together. We will meet again to hunt and fish together, see you then.

I lived with Jerry at Rutgers Camden in a roach-infested row home that regularly didn’t have heat or hot water. It didn’t stop us from having some of the best times of our lives. From the moment I met Jerry, he had my back. He was a guy you could always count on, whether it was to lend a hand when the frat boys got brave or someone to be there when life didn’t seem so easy.
I’ll never forget the great times we had when life was simple, hunting and fishing. I’ll also never forget the conversations we had when life got more complicated.
Your brave fight has and will inspire others to never give up. I’ll miss you buddy.

I will forever remember the little boy who lived across the street from me. The one with the beautiful smile who became a loving and honorable man. You had wonderful role models with your grandparents, mother, father and brother. You lived your life on your terms and touched many people with your life and profession. You will remain with us forever. I will see you playing in the stream next to your house and remember your trips to the shore. Your life, though short was touched with many treasures. Family and friends will miss you. If Matt grows up to be the man his dad was then the torch will be passed. You will be missed Jerry but never forgotten. The Nogle family.

I remember Jerry from school and from living in Kirkwood. He was fun, energentic, kind, athletic and always had a smile on his face.
To The Bonsall Family,
His eyes made us smile, his smile warmed our hearts... On a warm sunny day, when the rays from the Sun warm your skin, it is Jerry.
Pained no more, let no memory fade, but hold them in your heart, to remember always.
With Deepest Sympathy...God Bless

Dear Janice and Matt,
I am so sorry for your loss. Sadly, I only had the chance to meet Jerry once during Matt's time at Hope. But, over the past several months, I have learned so much about Jerry through the wonderful stories that Matt would tell about his family at school. Stories about the fish that Matt and Jerry caught. Stories about how his dad would catch the "bad guys" at work and put them in jail. I quickly learned that Jerry had a passion for fishing and the law; but once I met him, I knew that his true passion was for Matt and Janice. I could see and feel the love between the three of you when Jerry visited the classroom only a few weeks ago. That kind of love never fades.
We are so blessed to have your family be a part of the Hope family. We love you and are here for you.

I knew Jerry from our days growing up in Strathmere. I see that a few people commented that he was like a big brother. That is exactly how I would describe him too. He was a happy, giving person. A lot of my fun Strathmere memories include Jerry and I am forever grateful to have been a friend of his. He was a special person and will be missed. My heart goes out to his family. God bless.

I was so deeply saddened to hear about Jerry's passing. He was a great guy and a great friend. We had so many fun times running around Gibby as kids and playing sports together. Some of my favorite memories are of us riding dirt bikes with Jimmy and Barb. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bonsall family.

Dear Jerry,
You were a living testament of what it meant to be an officer and a friend and I'll always remember that about you. You were kind, selfless, and loving and I'll always admire that about you.
If I were a police officer I would want to be just like you because you always followed your heart, dreams, and passions. Haha, we even share the same middle initial...isn't that funny?
I'm sorry I didn't get to know you that well but you were an awesome guy and always will be! I'll miss your smile and happy-go-lucky attitude towards life.
I truly believe God gained an angel in the midst of your passing.
I'll be praying for your family and friends knowing that you're watching all of us from up above.
Rest in peace buddy!
'Til we meet again in heaven! :)
