Obituary of Kenneth E Klaus
Klaus, Kenneth E., age 79, of Little Egg Harbor, passed away on March 25th, 2015. Born to Frederick and Eva Klaus in Oaklyn, he lived his childhood in Somerdale. Ken served 5 years in the Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany with the 208th Sig Co. (Spt.) He worked for Sears and Roebuck for 37 years and Harrah's Casino for 5 years in Atlantic City. He moved to Mystic Island permanently in 1987, having owned his home since 1976. He loved fishing, sailing the "Bay" and golfing. Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by his brother, John C. Klaus and brother-in-laws, Jay E. Grooms and Lewis Grooms and Clarence Stevenson. He is survived by his wife, Anne (Grooms) Bodine Klaus and step-children Lynn (Bodine) Brago of Williamstown and Bruce Bodine of Lutz, FL. Also, three step-grandchildren, John, Tabitha and Tara MacDonald and four great-grandchildren, Rylie McDonald, Amira and Ariahna Friday and Maxine Pearson MacDonald. Sister-in-laws Dale Stevenson and Bernice Grooms and cousin Doris Pratt and their families. A memorial service will follow at a later date. Anyone who knew Ken knew he was a good, sweet man.
