Jane Bernice Zvanya (Nee Cwynar) passed away on March 31, 2015 age 96 of Berlin, NJ. She was the beloved wife of the late George Joseph Zvanya (died 1993) and the loving mother of Carol Helen (Joe Bloniarz), Stephen Joseph (Patricia), Vincent George, and John Robert (Stephanie). She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicole (Dave LeMunyon), Jacqueline (Dave Livesey), John Zvanya Jr., and Natalie Zvanya. Great grandmother of Madison and Liam Livesey. Jane was born in New Castle, Pa. on January 12, 1919 to Joseph and Karoline (Cwynar) Cwynar. She was one of 5 children Mary, Francis, Helen and Billy. She married George on July 4th, 1948 in Philadelphia. Jane was a graduate of University of Penn nursing school and was a visiting nurse in the City of Philadelphia. Jane also was a substitute nurse of Berlin Community School and Eastern Regional High School. Jane volunteered her time as a member of the Alter guild for Good Shepherd Church in Berlin and Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church of Berlin and was a Berlin Ambulance volunteer. She volunteered many hours collecting for the American Red Cross and American Heart Society. Jane loved to play in the outdoors in her vegetable garden and loved swimming in the ocean. But she most enjoyed her grandchildren by playing with them and showing them the world they would be experiencing. She loved singing her Polish songs her mom taught her and always had a smile for everyone. She spent the last 20 years traveling with her son Vincent throughout the United States, and took each experience as something new to see and enjoy. She will be greatly missed by everyone who ever met her. Services for Mrs. Zvanya were held privately at the request of the family and under the direction of the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. For more information or to e-mail a condolence, please visit www.lpwoosterfuneralhome.com.
