Obituary of Virginia S. Knecht
Virginia Surran Knecht, died comfortably, peacefully and painlessly, as she deserved, on April 1, 2015.
Ginny, as we all knew her, was born on March 25,1932 in Williamstown, NJ. A resident of Cedar Bonnet Island, Manahawkin, NJ since 1972. Daughter of the late Leon & Edna Surran of Williamstown, NJ. Loving and faithful wife of the late William M. Knecht, married October 15, 1955.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Evelyn Griste and her family, Brad, Erica, Rick, Marie and their children; her loving sister-in-law, Nome Zimmerman and her family, Walt, Jeanette, Janet, Uri, and their children; Mary Collins, Warren Collins and her life-long best friend Betty Anne, who she talked with everyday. Ginny is also survived and loved by many other extended family members, friends and neighbors.
Everyone who knew Ginny would agree with this statement "She was a good girl". Ginny will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is forever loved and remembered in all our hearts. What the caterpillar calls the end of the rainbow, the Lord calls a butterfly. Ginny you are a butterfly now so have fun in your new life. We know you will be watching over us...so until we meet again, God bless you and thank you for loving us all.
A Memorial service will be held at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 North Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ on Thursday May 14th, 2015 at 12 noon, under the direction of the LeRoy P.
