Obituary of Joseph J. Sepkoski

Passed away on May 22, 2010 at the age of 88. Joe resided at the Fountains in Atco, NJ after moving from his home in Sparta, NJ. He was the beloved husband of the late Sally F. Sepkoski for 50 years. Joe is survived by his daughter Dr. Carol Sepkoski and her husband Peter St. Clair of Cambridge, MA; his daughter, Diane Karl and her husband Ellery Karl of Cedar Brook, NJ; his daughter-in-law, Dr. Christine Janis of Providence, RI; grandchildren, David, Jillian and her husband Stephen Course, Timothy, Sara, Molly and Janet; great grandchild Ella. He is predeceased by his children, Dr. J. John Sepkoski, Jr., Greg Sepkoski, and Mary Sepkoski. Joe was a veteran of WWII. He was a chemist with degrees from John Carroll, Notre Dame and Rutgers Universities. Joe will be remembered for his love of his family, friends, golf, ND football, photography and his BMW. A Funeral Mass will be held at Assumption RC Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr., Atco, NJ at 9:00am on May 26 followed by a graveside ceremony at Sparta Cemetery, Sparta, NJ at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Stroke Association National Center 7272 Greenville Avenue Dallas TX 75231would be appreciated.
