Obituary of Walter A. Morrell
Walter A. Morrell, Sr. age 76yrs of Marlton, NJ passed away on July 18, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Walt is pre deceased by his beloved wife Rosemarie (nee Miller) and his grandson, Scott L. Christopher, Jr.
Walt is survived by his children, Patricia Schiller (Mikey) of Marlton and Walter, Jr. "Wally" (Wendy) of Berlin.
He is also survived by his beloved sister Joyce Reamer, his grandchildren, Andrea Christopher (Chris), Amy Rose Schiller and Walter "Wally" Morrell, III along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He began his career in Law Enforcement when he was hired as a Potrolman with the Mt. Holly Police Department from 1960 to 1966. He later joined the Evesham Twp. Police Department in September, 1966 as one of the first full time officers. He retired in 1987 as a Detective Sargeant.
Walt was a member of VFW Post 6295, FOP Lodge 56, National Police Officers Association, Tri-State Detective Association, the Burlington County Detective Association and the Tuckerton Redman Lodge, Pohatcong Tribe #61.
He also served his country in the US Navy from 1956 to 1960.
Services and interment will be private.
