Obituary of William Robert Malone

William Robert Malone, 74 years old and long time resident of Atco, NJ died Friday, September 4, 2015 at Alcoeur Gardens Assisted Living, Matawan, NJ. Bill was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 11,1941 and was predeceased by his parents Edward William Malone and Henrietta Cahill Malone Hogan. Bill worked as a carpenter for more than 40 years in Southern NJ and spent several terms as Secretary to Local 1578 Residential Carpenters Union. Longtime member of Knights of Columbus and VFW, Bill was a US Army veteran and served as a military policeman in Bamberg, Germany. Bill enjoyed golf and volunteered for several church missions to Israel during his retirement years. Bill is survived by wife, Mary, daughters Kathleen Jacobson Dorning (Stephen), Collegeville, PA; Maureen Malone, La Jolla, CA; brother Edward Malone (Judith), Calabash, NC; grandson Riel Jacobson and nephews Jeffrey Malone (Katherine), Rutland, MA; and Craig Malone (Elizabeth), Lansdowne, VA; and cousin Harry Hearon (Barbara), Folsom, PA. A special thanks to the staff at Alcoeur Gardens for their kindness in making Bill's final year extremely contented and giving his family comfort and peace.
