Obituary of Yvonne Lynn Purdue

Yvonne Lynn Purdue (nee Wagner), 62, of Cedar Brook, NJ passed away at home with her family by her side on October 26, 2015. She is survived by her husband Steven B. Purdue, her children, Cheryl Fryer of Atco, NJ, Suzanne Butz of Marlton, NJ and Steven C. Purdue of Magnolia, NJ. Yvonne is also survived by her brothers, Robert Wagner and Scott Wagner along with her grandchildren, Carter, Mackenzie and Lawrence. Yvonne attended John Harris High School, graduated from the Harrisburg Hospital School Of Nursing, and most recently completed her BSN from Walden University. While nursing was her passion, she was also a strong, courageous leader and coach. After working at Harrisburg Hospital for almost 2 decades she moved onto case management and home health care where she could have a greater impact. Yvonne had been managing a branch of Virtua Hospital's home health care unit for the past ten years. She loved her work, cared deeply for the people she worked with and was a strong advocate for improving patient care. Yvonne was very family oriented; she was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. The Christmas season was always a very special time in her household, but Sunday family dinners were also commonplace. For vacations, she loved a waterfront view, but as long as family was there, she was happy and helped to create special memories for everyone. Yvonne's strength, confidence, and courage, in good times and bad, defined her in every aspect of her life, and are attributes that she strived to pass on to her family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.
