I knew Doris many years ago when we were involved with South Jersey Survivors of Violent Crime. She devoted much of her time to helping others deal with their grief after the loss of a loved one. She also spent time helping to inform the public about the needs of those dealing with the criminal justice system.
I remember one Crime Victims Week we spent at BCCC and how surprised the students were to find out that victims of crime were denied the same rights the criminals had. I'm sure she would be pleased with the changes that now help protect the rights of
victims.She will be greatly missed.
