Obituary of Mary Catherine Zelensky

(nee Bennett) age 89yrs. A native of South Carolina and longtime resident of Bordentown, NJ, died peacefully at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly, NJ on Saturday, June 26, 2010. She is predeceased by her husband, Bernard C. Zelensky, her daughter, Patrice Zelensky Schultz and her grandsons, Thomas Zelensky, II and Jacob Schultz. Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheilah and James Utley of Woodland Twp., NJ with whom she resided, daughters Dolores Zelensky of Tomes River, NJ, Wynne Sparella of Las Vegas, NV, sons, Thomas of Wilksboro, NC and Timothy of Phila. PA. Also survived by her grandchildren, John David and Christopher Marshall, Carl Hay, Lisa Conrath, Lori Zelensky, Jennifer Becker, Desiree Sparella, William and Casey Huff and 13 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Zelensky attended the Univ. of S. Carolina and was a Navy WAVE during WWII before becoming a wife, mother and homemaker. Quite talented, she won hundreds of jingle and cooking contests over the years. She enjoyed family, travel, nature and animal. She was a member of the American Legion and helped support Disables American Veterans and numerous animal and children's charities. Funeral services are to take place at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
