I would have liked to have spent more and better time with you over the years that my career and family kept me away. Perhaps things would have turned out better for you if I'd been around to better support you. I choose to dwell on the good times and minimize or forget the bad ones as I complete my journey through life. I have learned from your experiences and choices you made, and will try my utmost to apply them to what I do, for the better, that's all I can do at this point. Now all I have left is a COD and obituary, and this futile attempt to ease my conscience for not being there when you needed me.
