Ida was a very special neighbor and she gave me the joy of calling her "Grandmom Ida". On July 1st she died. I found out on the 2nd and I cried and cried. We love her so much. I couldn't get home from the shore quic enough to make sure Tom and Ada were o.k. They took such good care of Ida I believe that is why she lived such a long life. Ida was such a loving and giving person. Even in the end I believe she knew that she was ready to go and that she wanted to help Tom and Ada by giving them a little break. My mom tells me she is in a better place and I know she is but I will miss her so much. She was there since we were little. We loved looking out the window to see her wave. We loved yelling hi Ada, hi Ida. We have a picture with her from every first day of school. She was always a part of our life. Every holiday we always made sure to see her and even when she couldn't come to our parties anymore we would bring things from our party to her. We loved including her. On Grandparents Day when our grandparents couldn't come to school we wrote about Ida. We loved bragging how she was 100. On the 100th day of school we took a picture of her. Things won't be the same without her but we know she is in heaven telling our great-grandpaents how she lived across the street from us and how much we loved her. Stay strong Tom and Ada, you did a great job- The world would be a great place with more Tom's, Ada's and Ida's.
