It was with great sadness and distress that I learned of Jake's passing. I only knew him from behind the counter at Banger's Sport Shop, but each time I saw him he had a "Hi, how you doing" greeting. Sadly, I only knew Jake for short time, but he was my "go to" at Banger's. Always a friendly smile, he was patient and kind and took the time to answer my questions, offer advise and share stories. I truly enjoyed our conversations. I will miss him so.

I only got to know Jake for a short time through the store, but felt a great sense of loss at hearing of his death. He made you feel like a friend.
Jake made conversation easy and was incredibly helpful. He had a engaging way about him, locking you in with his bright eyed gaze and smile. He always seemed excited about what he was telling you, even though he had probably told hundreds of people the same things. I always hoped he was working whenever I visited Bangers. He never made me feel stupid or ignorant when he explained something about firearms or tactics that was new to me, and I'm pretty sure that anyone who met Jake felt the same way.
He will be greatly missed.

I'm SO very sorry to read this. My wife and I just purchased guns earlier this year and Jake was so incredibly helpful with every step along the way. He had such a spirit of gentleness about him that I'll always remember him. I don't know what happened to him but may he truly rest in peace. My heart is literally breaking in half and my eyes have been filled with tears since I heard this tradgic news on Wednesday. I can't imagine the despair "Jake" was going through, he was literally one of the nicest and sweetest guys I have ever had the privilege of knowing.
