Obituary of Janet Florence Stretch

Janet F. Scoggins-Stretch (nee Shinn) age 70yrs of Williamstown, formerly of EHT, NJ departed this life after a short illness on December 10, 2016. Born on July 2, 1946. She is predeceased by her parents Edward and Evelyn (nee Whittaker) Shinn as well as her brothers, Bobby, Leon, Lotty Shinn and her children, Brian Scoggins and Tatiyana Stretch. She is survived by her children, Mark (Michalle) Romano, Michelle (Harvey) Rheiner and Alex Stretch. Sisters, Evelyn (Ray) Rounds and Rose Shinn. Brothers, Ed (Elaine) Shinn and John (Peggy) Shinn. Grandchildren Zachary, Riley, Laney Romano and Veronica Pasquarella additionally Cassy, Nathan, Kaitlin, Jarred and Ciara Rheiner. As well as a lifelong friend and mentor Rose Williams with a special friend she leaves behind Kevin Smith of Florida. She was a homemaker for many years and became a foster parent to 35 children. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and her strong will. Life was not always easy but she made the best of any situation for herself and her family. Her final wishes were for cremation which will be handled by the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, Atco, NJ. The family will be having a celebration of her life on Monday, December 19th at 4PM at the Knights of Columbus, 157 Oak Street, Waterford Works where friends and family are invited to attend.
